As a result, we are seeking District Managers with a history of proven sales success in direct sales, business to business sales as well as hands-on management experience in a multi-unit retail environment.

The District Manager’s dual role consists of; 1) Outside sales with a focus on creative business-to-business prospecting, new business development, and fostering meaningful business relationships with independent retailers and; 2) Comprehensive management of multiple retail locations within territory.

Business to Business (Outside) Sales Responsibilities ***
• Creatively generate leads through prospecting multiple sources, cold calling, in-person visits, e-mail and
telephone campaigns
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and professional organizations within the community in order to
develop new business.
• Make formal sales presentations tailored to the needs of established retailers.
• Identify and participate in housewares industry tradeshows locally - some national participation possible.
• Consistently close new business subject to a monthly quota.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all products offered by us and our competition
• Compile all required reports including pipeline activity, prospecting and sales reports within assigned territory

Demonstration Center Management Responsibilities ***
• Leadership position overseeing 4-6 Demonstration Center (kiosk) locations.
• Startup procedures and opening of assigned Demonstration Center locations.
• Manage Demonstration Center operational systems and procedures.
• Assure that training and development needs are identified and on-going training is implemented.
• Direct and supervise the activities of the Demonstration Center Team Leaders
• Identify and participate in consumer tradeshows within territory.

Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of proven Business to Business Sales success with a record of consistently exceeding quotas
• 3+ years retail operations management experience in a multi-unit environment a PLUS
• Previous experience as a Sales Professional in a fast paced quota driven environment as an Account Executive,
Account Manager, Territory Manager, Field Sales Representative, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect for new business and grow territories
• Strong ability to foster meaningful business relationships
• Experience closing small and medium sized business accounts
• Experienced manager with good communication, organization, leadership, conflict resolution and training skills.
• Have proven success leading retail sales team in a commissioned based environment.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics, identify opportunities and take initiative when needed.
• Represents organization in a professional manner
•Ambitious results oriented individual with entrepreneurial drive.

• Extensive travel within the territory is required with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
• Aptitude for fast-paced, fun, team oriented and competitive environments.
• Proficiency using Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and the Internet
• Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Must pass Drug and Background Tests

Compensation – Generous base salary, travel allowance plus lucrative monthly bonus program
